I was born in Chicago,IL (well not technically) you see a funny thing happened one day when my mom was out shopping. She was on the other side of the border in Indiana when she went into labor with me, and yes officially I was born in East Chicago, IN. But I will never claim that as my home, I grew up in Chicago or at least stayed there for 14 yrs. When I was 14 my mother got married and my step-fathers company moved us to Lancaster, PA. That is where I spent 5 yrs of my productive life. From there I moved back to Chicago and started working in the computer field. I bought a $400 computer and spent hour after hour figuring it out. I finally got a break when a law firm hired me to do some computer work, from there it was onward and upward. I got married, had an amazing son, fell in love with another woman, got divorced and moved to Syracuse. Yes all in that order. Once in Syracuse I re-married and had a beautiful daughter. Unfortunately my ways were not behind me, I had an affair on my current wife. During which time my mother was given not long to live, its a long story but the bottom line is that my mom passed away 5 days after my wife discovered my affair. After returning home from my mothers funeral I realized that I had to do something to change my path in life. I turned to counseling and found why I have had these patterns in my life. It took some time but I found the right path, I have grown as a person and if nothing else that is the positive that came out of what happened.
Music has always been a part of my life, I could listen to pretty much about anything (as much as other people might not like what I listen to) I still find it relaxing in a weird way. I found that my neighbor plays the bass so one day I decided to follow a passion of mine, drumming. Yes that did not really go over to well, where was I going to practice/play these loud ass things at? Thankfully my wife was very patient and understanging. During this time more friends showed interest in playing together, just doing some covers until I progressed. We have been together for 1 year and we are playing some awesome music. Thankful for the guys that have 20+ yrs experience in the scene to have patience with me. Like I said I find peace in music, when I am playing nothing else matters, bills, work, any stress, its just all me and my drums.
That is, for now, how my life is going. On track, doing what I love to do with the people that I love. Beautiful wife, beautiful kids, friends, family and fond memories of a extraordinary woman.
